A number of people asked me for a copy of the prayer I prayed at the end of the sermon on Sunday. So here it is along with a couple of accessible guides to the book.
I hate this, and I wish I didn’t have to go through it.
What’s more I feel I am being treated very badly here. It doesn’t seem fair. It feels like You have turned Your back on me and You don’t care.
But Father, I know You are God: You are matchless in wisdom and matchless in power, nothing can stop You from carrying out Your perfect plan.
I know that because of the death of the Lord Jesus, You have committed yourself to me entirely. You are for me, so I trust You even in this.
So, please help me walk by faith and not by sight, trusting that You know what You are doing and that I am safe in Your hands.
