Last year as churches we had the privilege of taking part in the first Bristol Churches Winter Night Shelter (Read the Impact Report here) – a project that gave churches in the city the opportunity to connect with and serve our neighbours in need of accommodation through the coldest few months of the year. Next year (Jan-Feb 2019) we are glad to be able to offer the Emmanuel Meeting House as a venue again, and would love to be able to also provide team
s of volunteers to setup, welcome, cook and hang out with guests over the course of the evening, night and morning that they’ll be with us. You can find more info about what volunteering involves here.
If you would like to volunteer in the project – please sign up asap on the website. (When signing up you’ll be asked about when and where you can attend training – the venue where you’ll actually volunteer will be sorted out later on.)
This year the good news is more churches have got involved, so we’ll only be providing a venue for 6 weeks rather than 12 – meaning our team won’t be as big as it was last year – so if you are keen to get involved do sign up asap so as not to miss out!
